November 2003 saw the 40th Anniversary of Doctor Who, which Atlantean Publishing was intent on celebrating, founding editors DJ Tyrer and Richard Burman both being keen fans of the show. The anniversary was celebrated in Out Of The Vortex, The Monomyth Supplement 10 and Monomyth 3.4. The story collection A Universal Tapestry: Loose Threads should also have appeared but was, sadly, aborted.
Atlantean Publishing had previously marked the 35th Anniversary in 1998, and would go on a further ten years later to celebrate the programme's 50th Anniversary in 2013.
